Buried tanks can be located using video inspection equipment and underground metal detectors. In some cases when a tank is under a floor slab or concrete sidewalk or patio ASAP will use ground penetrating radar equipment to expose the location of the tank.

ASAP Excavating is a responsible environmentally friendly contractor. We make every effort to leave the earth clean and free of damaging toxins when removing buried tanks. ASAP removes and recycles the old tanks and the liquid in the tank is pumped and delivered to a facility where the oil is reclaimed and recycled.

In some cases the earth around the tank can become contaminated due to seepage from the tank. When ASAP Excavating Drainage & Sewer Inc. encounters these situations we consult an environmental engineer and request a report of the soil conditions around the tank. If we find that the soil is contaminated we carefully remove the contaminated soil and deliver it to a soil remediation facility and restore your property leaving it with a clean bill of health.
